Paul Muxlow has been so helpful to us in navigating our way through the French ‘system’ that without his able assistance we may well have found the task impossible He helped us both prior to, during and after our move. Two years on we are still encountering issues and having Paul available on a retainer basis offers us much comfort.

I have known Paul Muxlow for 8 years. During that time he has assisted us in purchasing a French Property. He is an honest, trustworthy and loyal person. He is a fluent French speaker, with his many contacts he is able to help you through any problems that you may encounter. I would highly recommend him and his services to any person who needs help or advice.

We are an English family with three children living in the Dordogne.
On the recommendation of a friend, I contacted Paul Muxlow of Aquitaine Info in July 2015 because we needed someone to help us obtain French driving licences and also set up a new entreprise to cover our gîte rental and yoga businesses. In addition, our efforts to obtain child benefit from the Caisse Allocation Familiale (CAF) had ground to a halt after several years of trying and we hoped that Paul might be able to move things forward for us.
The new business was registered and driving licences obtained without any problems. Paul accompanied us throughout and his knowledge of the processes and his rapport with the officials concerned meant it was all relatively easy and pain-free. He has also been very quick to help us with the many questions about the new business that we have had to face subsequently.
The CAF represented the greatest challenge. It was clear from the outset that they were doing everything they could to avoid paying us, including closing our dossier without informing us and making multiple requests for the same information. Despite the many challenges that they put in our way, we did – in the end – receive full and backdated payment in December 2016.
I believe that the fact that we received this money was down to two factors – dogged determination and the rapport that we built up with the advisor at the CAF offices. On both these counts, Paul’s efforts for us were essential.
Paul always believed that we would ‘win’ in the end and his enthusiasm and positivity throughout kept us going when we were ready to throw in the towel. He really took our challenge on as if it were his own. In addition, his interpersonal skills are excellent and these, coupled with his fluency in French, meant that we were able to establish a very good – and ultimately productive – relationship with our CAF contact over the many, many meetings we had at their offices.
Paul has an excellent understanding of French administration and an expansive network of ‘friendly’ contacts across a wide range of disciplines. He is also an extremely likeable and caring person who is prepared to go that ‘extra mile’ for his clients. I have absolutely no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Paul’s services.

Starting our new life moving to live in France was exciting but equally daunting. The advice, assistance and actions Paul gave were invaluable, stress free and fun! Thanks Paul for a great service.

Paul was very helpful in all aspects of setting up a new life in France.  Both Paul and his wife Sue have now become friends and continue to help the settling in process.  Very much appreciated and would recommend in a heartbeat.

I have known Paul for about 4 years now and would recommend him without reservation.  He is always ready with sound advice and, when necessary, personal support such as trips to the Notaire.  With his fluent French, his naturally friendly and can-do attitude, he has been invaluable help over a huge range of subjects, from wading through the various impenetrable French systems to deflecting a very difficult neighbour.  And the bonus is that he is a thoroughly good chap.

Paul Muxlow is a very rare human being who really cares about helping, guiding and enabling his clients to make the transition from living full time in the UK to creating a successful life here in France. He shows tact with confidentiality with his understanding difficult human issues.  Thank you so much Paul for being here. We have no hesitation in recommending Aquitaine Info!

As a couple recently arrived in France from the UK we have faced many hurdles, mostly in the form of French bureaucracy in all its myriad forms. Even before we moved, Paul had helped with such matters as sourcing a vehicle locally and will continue to offer support for a full year. Having, as yet, only limited command of the language we can say that Paul’s helpful attitude, wide knowledge, local connections and, above all, his translation skills have been vital in smoothing the path for us. We would not hesitate to recommend his services to anyone undertaking this type of project either for private or business reasons.

Paul came into our lives as a property agent assisting us to buy a home in the Dordogne. We contacted him via the internet from the UK and arranged to visit a number of properties over two days.
Paul was very helpful in finding us a property and worked assiduously on our behalf despite us changing the brief on several occasions.
We eventually found a property but had a few reservations about the roof, upon which Paul became an independent and impartial advisor finding us a surveyor who confirmed our suspicions. We subsequently withdrew from the purchase.
We purchased another property and although this was obtained via another agent we used Paul to recommend tradesmen and have now appointed him as our first choice agent to sell.
We are also now using Paul as our advisor on all matters to do with living in France including obtaining the necessary permissions on our next project plus new connections to services etc and establishing standing order payments with banks/insurance companies etc.
We have found Paul Muxlow to be very trustworthy and helpful on all matters related to living in France whether they be associated with property or with general living and heartily recommend his services.

The sale of our windmill has now been successfully completed, and we thank you for your services in the transactions.
In particular we would like to pay tribute to the way Paul Muxlow conducted the proceedings. We were present when he first brought round the buyers. We were most impressed by the professional way in which, without prompting from us, he drew the then prospective buyers attention to all the property,s advantages. At the same time he quite properly drew their attention to the fact that the internal space was restricted, and that the stairs were open on one side, thus making sure they fully understood what they were considering buying. He did this in a very nice manner without being overtly « pushy » – as many salesman can be.
We were also impressed by his visit, just before the buyers arrived to sign, to satisfy himself that the property was still in good order.
All in all we feel his very pleasant personality coupled with his very professional approach is a great credit to your company.

Paul Muxlow was very helpful while we were thinking of relocating from South Africa to France and especially during the actual move.
He helped us on several visits to the region over a period of two years, when we were merely considering buying a house.
When we finally decided to purchase in this area, he helped us refine our requirements and find the house that we now live in. It meets all our requirements and we are very happy with our choice.
In addition, he was always available to answer our questions about life in France in general, most of which had nothing to do with buying a house. He was able to put us in touch with the relevant people to solve our problems.
Paul has since become a friend and we can recommend his services without reservation.

Following a recent personal tragedy and having no knowledge of the French probate, tax or legal systems, I was introduced to Paul Muxlow of Paul’s Info as being someone who would be able to help.
Over the long and very distressing period of the next 6 months I came to rely on and respect Paul’s ability to adapt to any situation and to give instant and unswerving support and assistance on any and every subject; if he didn’t immediately know the answer to something he either went and found out or referred me to someone who did. In all cases his referrals too were invaluable.
